By accessing or using TaxCove's tax preparation and accounting services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
TaxCove offers scoped tax preparation and accounting support for individuals, self-employed professionals, and rental property owners in Quebec. Services may include personal return preparation, self-employed or rental-income support, bookkeeping coordination, and related consultation, as described in the accepted engagement. Public service pages describe possible fit and do not by themselves create an engagement or guarantee eligibility, filing, timing, price, refund, or outcome.
Property-management pages describe full-service property-management operations delivered through separate client channels after onboarding; the public inquiry form is only the first-contact path. The public website is not an owner or tenant operations platform and does not itself provide live rent balances, tenant messaging, rent-payment handling, maintenance dispatch, access-code storage, or automated building operations. Service begins after the building and scope are reviewed and both sides accept a written mandate covering services, fees, approvals, responsibilities, service levels, and secure communication channels. Active managed properties receive 24/7 emergency handling through the emergency channel defined in their mandate; the public inquiry form is not that channel and must not be used for tenant personal information, leases, banking details, access codes, identity documents, or emergency reports.
If TaxCove declines an unsupported or out-of-scope file before substantive work begins, the deposit is refundable. Otherwise, the deposit becomes non-refundable once substantive work begins. Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice, and no-shows forfeit their deposit. If we are unable to complete your return due to our error, we will provide a full refund.
We prepare your tax returns based on the information you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of this information. While we exercise professional care, we are not liable for penalties, interest, or additional taxes resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you. We are liable for errors made by our team, up to the amount of fees paid for that service.
We treat all client information as confidential. We will not share your information with third parties except as required by law or necessary to provide our services (e.g., filing with CRA/Revenu Québec). See our Privacy Policy for details. Privacy Policy
Where an accepted engagement includes electronic filing, TaxCove will request the required authorizations and confirm whether the file is eligible for that submission path. Some files may require an alternative method. Using the website alone does not authorize filing, establish TaxCove’s registration status for a particular program, or guarantee that a tax authority will accept a submission. A filing is not treated as confirmed until the applicable confirmation is issued.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxCove's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
