Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about documents, deposits, timelines, Revenu Québec, and how we handle late filings.

Use FAQ, Checklist, Start, or Contact for different reasons
Use these answers for quick reassurance, then choose Start, Checklist, or Contact when your file is ready or unusual.
1
Use the FAQ for quick reassurance
Use the FAQ when you need fast answers about deposits, documents, timing, or the general filing process.
2
Use the checklist if documents are still missing
Move to the checklist when the real blocker is preparation, receipts, notices of assessment, or understanding what applies to your file.
3
Use Contact when the situation does not fit a simple answer
If the file crosses several services, involves older years, or still needs triage before you start, direct contact is a better route than guessing.
How does the process work?
Choose your category, fill the online form, upload your documents, and pay the deposit. We review everything end-to-end and follow up through your client portal — usually within a few business days.
Do you file with Revenu Québec, not just the CRA?
Yes. Every Quebec personal return we prepare is filed with both the CRA (federal) and Revenu Québec (provincial). We handle RL slips, Quebec-specific credits and schedules, and reconcile differences between the two when they appear.
What documents do I need?
Use the checklist to see what applies to your situation. It covers T4 / RL-1 slips, self-employed income and expenses, rental documents, RRSP contributions, medical claims, and the most common deductions.
How much is the deposit?
Deposits start at $50 for employee or other personal filings and $110 for self-employed or rental files. The deposit is applied to your final invoice — it isn't an extra fee.
How long does it take?
Most returns are reviewed and filed within a few business days of receiving your deposit and complete documents. Self-employed, rental, and catch-up files take longer when there's bookkeeping cleanup or multiple prior years involved.
What if I'm late or have unfiled prior years?
We handle catch-up files regularly — missed years, CRA or Revenu Québec notices, missing slips, and prior-year corrections. We'll scope what each year actually needs before any work starts so you don't pay for guesses.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, sensitive identifiers like SINs are never logged in plain text, and access is restricted to the people working on your file. The whole pipeline runs on Canadian infrastructure.
