What you pay today

Employee or other personal file
$60
Self-employed or rental file
$120

The tables above price employee-led personal returns by household and season. Checkout collects a deposit by file category, plus GST and QST, and subtracts the full amount you paid from either that published personal-return price or the written quote issued after review.

Couples: one of you completes a single intake for the household, supplies both sets of information, pays one deposit, and books one appointment. Each of you still receives your own return and signs your own filing authorization. The couple rates apply when TaxCove files for both partners — if your spouse files elsewhere, your return is priced at the individual rate.

Advertised service fees exclude only applicable GST/QST. Your deposit is charged with GST and QST on top, and your written quote itemizes the service fee, GST, QST, deposit credit, and remaining balance.

  1. 1. Today

You pay the deposit for your file type at checkout — $60 or $120, plus GST and QST.

  2. 2. After we prepare it

For a table-priced personal return, your invoice uses the published rate plus approved added scope. For a reviewed file, it uses the written quote. In both cases, the deposit is subtracted.

  3. 3. Before filing

You settle the balance from your client portal. We file with the CRA and Revenu Québec once it clears.

Scope priced separately

These items sit outside the straightforward employee-return household table. TaxCove quotes the applicable added scope—or the complete self-employed, rental, or other-file scope—and gets written approval before that work starts.

Beyond tax season

Year-round support retainers

If your finances do not stop in April, a scoped retainer defines a year-round service cadence, responsible team, and continuity plan. Each retainer is confirmed in writing and billed at a flat amount.

Self-employed quarterly retainer

For self-employed workers registered for GST/QST who want books kept current instead of rebuilt every spring.

  • Quarterly GST/QST preparation and filing
  • Quarterly bookkeeping review and cleanup
  • Instalment reminders with the amounts to plan for
  • A year-end return scheduling approach defined in the retainer, with the return billed at the applicable rates

Fixed quarterly fee, confirmed after a review of your books.

Landlord accounting retainer

For duplex, triplex, and multiplex owners who want rental books, owner statements, and year-end schedules handled continuously.

  • Monthly categorization of rent and building expenses
  • Owner statements ready for a lender or a partner
  • Year-end rental schedules ready for your federal and Quebec returns
  • Coordination with your property manager when you have one

Fixed monthly fee per building, confirmed after a portfolio review.

Retainer fees are confirmed in writing after a scoping review and never change without your written approval.
